And just like that, it’s over. After a decade or more, we say goodbye to the Multi Sentry 60-125kVA system and in doing so, welcome in the era of the Sentryum.

Reliable, cost-effective and available are all words you would describe the MST range with. It’s been a leader in the market for transformer-less technology for many years, after initial refining and development it’s bearly changed over the past 7-8 years.

With only a few 60kVA and 80kVA units available in the UK now and the pricing removed from distribution channels and price lists, future solutions will be supplied under the newly extended Sentryum range. Initially, the Sentryum was limited to 20kVA, then 40kVA, but now will be available up to 120kVA.

Interestingly, I can now confirm that in the 60kVA XTD frame, you can purchase the model with internal batteries, offering a 3 minute runtime at full load. On the face of the solution, it does seem low, but in our opinion and experience, rarely are UPS run to capacity and generally speaking, 3 minutes is sufficient for certain applications. It is competitively priced, as you’d expect - so there’ll be no doubt it will feature in many industries and applications around the UK and across the world.

Only time will tell as to whether it has the longevity and popularity of it’s predecessor. In our opinion, if the reliability is anywhere near the level of the Multi Sentry, we will see Sentryum sales exceed MST sales in the UK market.
